ANGELES started in Sunland-Tujunga, CA, playing for free at lunchtime at high schools; they played at La Crescenta High, Grant High, and North Hollywood High, to name a few. From there, Angeles was doing some of the biggest backyard parties in the San Fernando Valley, CA, with large crowds showing up, from 500 to 1,000 or more. Angeles headlined Devonshire Downs Outdoor Stadium in Northridge, CA, bringing in 6,000 people in attendance, and played the song In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida with special guest Ron Bushy, the drummer from Iron Butterfly, also where Jimmy Hendrix Experience played in 1969, flown in by helicopter, not to mention Gary Richath from REO Speedwagon played with Angeles 3 years in a row at Azars Bar and Grill in Newbury Park, CA: the first year we played Take it on the Run, the 2nd year was Take It on the Run and Riding the Storm Out, and the 3rd year was Take It on the Run, Riding the Storm Out, and blues, where Gary and Dale traded off doing leads. Angeles hits Hollywood, playing the Troubadour to a packed house on a Sunday night at midnight and continuing to play many shows on the Sunset Strip, playing the Whisky, Roxy, Gazzari's, and Starwood. ANGELES played with Ronnie James Dio and Ruff Cut when Jake E. Lee was in the band, the guitarist for Ozzy and Bandlands and Red Dragon Cartel at NTC and Miramar Naval Base in San Diego, Ca.

ANGELES has shared the stage with Motley Crue, Guns n Roses Bon Jovi, Quiet Riot, Metallica, Ronnie James Dio, Ratt, Motorhead, Jack Russel's Great White, Foghat, Michael Schenker Y&T, Edgar Winter, Dokken, Lita Ford, Bitch, Snow, and many more legends of rock n roll. Signed to Mystic Records in 1984, ANGELES recorded their debut album, "Were No Angels," that sold worldwide, especially in the UK. 2004 is the 40th anniversary of "Were No Angels." Angeles started the 2024 tour in Florida, doing 2 shows with Lita Ford and ending the 40th-year anniversary on December 27th in Michigan, playing with Ace Frehley.

ANGELES hits the top 40 with their single "Nothing but Love" in March 2022 and was #22 on the Rock Billboard indicator chart and still charting, and the single "Band Plays On" came in at #25 on the SMR secondary Rock Chart in 2023, and "On My Way" at #16 on the SMR secondary Rock Chart in 2023. Angeles was signed to Dark Star Records from 2019 to 2022 until Jeffery A. Swanson had an accident that he has not recovered from as of yet. We send out deepest condolences; not only was he our record company but also our best friend. Dark Star Records released Time of Truth, Hell on High Heels, Fire it Up, and Running Like an Outlaw; they also released the singles On My Way and Band Plays On with Dale George Lytle on
Guitar and Danny Basulto on drums and Brian Letourneau

Angeles songs have been featured in three movies: Hellweek with "Hell on High Heels," "Celebrate," and "Heal the Wounds"; Melon Heads "Crime of Insanity"; and Byte's "Just Do It."

The song "Blade of Steel" was featured in the Bound for Hell on the Sunset Strip box set. Most recently, the ticket stub from the double bill with Angeles and Motley Crue was featured in the documentary "Nothing but a Good Time" about 5 minutes into the documentary released September 18th worldwide on the Paramount streaming platform.
